Nischala Joy Devi has studied with Yoga masters in US, India and worldwide. She has spent 25 years as a monastic disciple of the world renowned Yogiraj Sri Swami Satchidananda. During her time in the monastery she began to blend western medicine with yoga and meditation. She offered her expertise in developing the yoga portion of ‘The Dean Ornish Program for Reversing Heart Disease’. She was the Director of Stress Management for the program for seven years.

Quote:

The expansiveness of yoga grows when we allow the heart and the head to work together. If we go into our own heart and feel the intuitive process, we know which practice we need to do next. We know when the service is needed, and when we need to come back inside and do more meditation. And this is the spirit and nature as they dance together.
